To make the university a more accomodating and just experience for future black and nonwhite students at the college, the members of the BSU submitted new requests to the President of WWC on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020. In the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement and the fight for equity in the U.S., black organizations are spreading the word of the importance of being conscious to support black organizations, businesses and people. Systemic racism has prevented black and nonwhite people from having the same opportunities and treatment as their white counterparts. In order to inform their local community, the Black Student Union wanted to catch the attention of viewers' eyes in a creative way in order to inform people of the demands they submitted to their college's president. Starting on Juneteenth, the Black Student Union is posting one graphic a day until all of the demands have been posted to social media.
